Bio Innovation SA Welcomes AusBiotech 2011, Sunday 16 October  

The official Welcome Reception joint-hosted by AusBiotech & Bio Innovation SA (BioSA), Sunday 16 October 2011, 6.00pm - 8.00pm at the historic Adelaide Oval saw over 500 AusBiotech Delegates and BioInnovation SA Members enjoy a unique experience of South Australian history and culinary delights. 

As the sun set over Adelaide Oval, friends new and old enjoyed the prestige of the BioInnovation Awards presented to three deserved recipients, adding a further celebration of achievement to the evening; a fitting precurser to what the following days were to yield.

AusBiotech 2011 Exhibitors' Reception, Monday 17 October 

The Exhibitors' Reception hosted by AusBiotech, Monday 17 October 2011, 5.30pm - 6.30pm brought a buzz to the BioIndustry Exhibition Hall, Adelaide Convention Centre, as over 200 AusBiotech Delegates and Exhibitors networked amidst the exhibitions on show.

Thanks to all Exhibitors who took this opportunity to showcase their products and services within this relaxed and informal reception.

 

AusBiotech 2011 Trade Afternoon, Tuesday 18 October

Exhibitors invited clients - current and prospective to experience AusBiotech 2011 as part of the official Trade Afternoon, Tuesday 18 October 2011, 2.30pm - 5.30pm in the BioIndustry Exhibition Hall, Adelaide Convention Centre.

Trade Afternoon presented an opportunity for Exhibitors to invite guests to experience their product or service featured in the BioIndustry Exhibition Hall, with an added benefit of staying for the Conference Dinner later that evening, to continue the networking.

AusBiotech 2011 Conference Dinner, Tuesday 18 October

The official Conference Dinner hosted by AusBiotech & proudly sponsored by Pfizer, Tuesday 18 October 2011, 7.00pm - 11.30pm at the Adelaide Convention Centre hosted over 350 guests. 

Guests enjoyed canapes overlooking the River Torrens as they converged from a second day's conference program.  Dr Daniel Grant, Director External R&D Innovations, Pfizer Australia, New Zealand and Singapore highlighted how they are working with some of Australia's best and brightest scientists, clinicians and investigators and introduced their current Pfizer Fellow Dr Mark Shackleton. 

Later, with the presentations at a close, the Pfizer Supper Club was opened,as well as the dance floor that beckoned many to get foot loose and fancy free.

AusBiotech 2011 Closing Reception, Wednesday 19 October 

All good things must come to an end and sadly we bade Adelaide farewell at the official Closing Reception hosted by AusBiotech, Wednesday 19 October 2011, 1:00pm - 2:30pm within the Innovation Cafe precinct BioIndustry Exhibition Hall, Adelaide Convention Centre.

Dr Deborah Rathjen, Chair AusBiotech gave thanks for South Australia's hospitality, remarked on the extraordinary success of the Investment Summit still underway at the time of the Closing Reception and presented best Exhibitor prizes; best Custom Build Booth to Bavaria and best 3x3 Booth to Bellberry Ltd.  Matt Carrick, Director - Technology Industries, Innovation and Technology, Victorian Government then invited the biotechnology community's participation in 2012 as AusBiotech National Conference returns to Victoria as State Host 2012.
